What speakers will give me the best all around performance?

no those are home speakers, tough answer, but i would get the 6 1/2 componets.
those are awesome sounding , but you need a sub, possibly a 10in sub, go with the boston aucoustic g2 with 300 watts(p.s -wont kill your battery or electrical) you should be fine!

If you looking for a clear and clean system you should go for the front stage meaning just your front speakers and don’t worry about the back also were you position your speakers makes a very big difference. I would go with a 3 way system but if you don’t like the idea of buying or having to make a custom pod then a two way would be fine also, also your head unit plays a very big role you can have the best speakers and amps but if your head unit is stock or cheap its just going to sound bad. Look for any head unit that gives you a 4volt output or better and as for speakers look into MB Quart, JL Audio, Image Dynamics and Focal to find them at good price look on ebay you can find a decent pair for 250.00 also when looking for you speakers look for a Frequency Response of 30,000 hz or higher I hope this helps you out and good look on your system
