What kind of receiver would I need to run two pairs of heavy duty speakers and a heavy duty subwoofer?
tripp928 asked:
In my house I have two large sets of industrial grade speakers, and have them running through an amplifier. I also have a very large subwoofer (it must be atleast 3 feet tall), and I don’t have an input for it on my amplifier. What kind of box/receiver would I need to get to run all the speakers and the sub and where could I find it?

go with a denon reciever. Those things really put out.
Sound like you have a set of DJ type speakers, which normally require there own power amps to drive them. Receivers have a pre out for sub woofers, which you need to connect to a power amplifier and then connect the speakers to the power amp. Your speaker probably have a 1/4 plug input for the speakers, you’ll have to go to radio shack and get a 1/4 plug and with a bare wire on the other end to connect it to the power amp. DJ amp have the 1/4 plug for speaker connection. The other speaker you can connect to the receiver with bare wires. Here are some good receiver to look at, Pioneer, Pioneer Elite, Onkyo, Denon and Yamaha. Hope this will help you out
