Does burning a CD in different versions of Windows Media Player change what can read it?

I burned a CD in my bro’s computer which has Windows XP and an older version of Windows Media Player and I can use it perfectly fine in the car and in other CD players at home. But I burned another one in my computer which has Vista and the newest version of WMP and neither my car’s CD player, nor other players will read it.

Why? What can I do??

No, WMP has no bearing on that. Maybe it was a bad CD or your burner/.
watch the settings to see if its set to data or cd
There is a setting that must be set in WMP which tells it to burn a DATA CD (computers only) or music CD (CD player). Check your settings and try again.
